Robert Kennedy

CHAIRMAN / FOUNDER

Robert Kennedy is Kennedy Homes, LLC Chairman, partner and namesake of the firm. With more than 55 years in the construction industry, Robert and his team of skilled professionals has been responsible for the development and construction of more than 20,000 homes, both in Chicago and South Florida. Robert migrated to Florida in 1978, and has built and developed residential communities here exclusively ever since. Robert has the unique quality to predict when rough waters are ahead in the Real Estate industry and that quality has given Kennedy Homes a perfect completion record. In his pre-construction days, he was team photographer for the Chicago Bears. He resides in Highland Beach and enjoys skiing and hiking trips out west with his large family.

Stephen Gravett

Chief Operating Officer

Stephen Gravett is CEO and partner of Kennedy Homes, LLC with more than 41 years of experience in real estate development and construction. He graduated cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a BS degree in management science. While the main concentration of his development history is residential he has also built and developed high rise condominiums, rental apartments as well as industrial, commercial, retail and office. Stephen is the construction qualifier and licensed Real Estate Broker for Kennedy. He began his career in real estate development shortly after leaving the United States Air Force as a B-52 pilot in the Strategic Air Command. He currently calls Delray Beach his home. He enjoys traveling abroad, skiing and spending time with his family.

Mike Ehrlich

Chief Financial Officer

Mike Ehrlich is a partner and serves as Kennedy Homes, LLC Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mike is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, majored in accounting and is a certified public accountant in both Florida and Maryland. For more than 15 years, Mike has served in various financial capacities within KHLLC before becoming CFO (partner) five years ago. Mike was instrumental in successfully guiding Kennedy Homes through the last Great Recession. Originally from Nebraska, Mike now calls Ft. Lauderdale Home. Mike served in the Navy. In his spare time, he travels internationally pursuing his passion for underwater photography, diving and skiing.

Derek Fenech

Director of Construction

Derek Fenech is Director of Construction for Kennedy Homes, LLC. Derek graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction, and is a licensed Florida State Certified General Contractor. During Derek’s 20 plus years in the development and construction industry, he has performed renovations, remodels, and new construction and for 16 years ran a division of a large public homebuilder where he designed and developed communities consisting of mid-rise condominiums, townhomes, and single family residences. Derek calls Lake Worth home. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing various sports, traveling and is an avid saltwater aquarium hobbyist.

Kevin B Swill

VP Finance & Land Acquisition

Mr. Swill came to Kennedy Homes after a several years as COO of The Carlton Group, a merchant banking company and boutique investment firm. He played a key role in growing the firm’s high net worth equity syndication business as well as expanded Carlton’s investment sales division. Kevin raised over $2bn from equity investors and financed more than $6bn over the past few years. Mr. Swill has 23 years of commercial real estate and investment banking experience. Prior to Carlton, he was the President of Westminster Capital and Kushner Properties, where he oversaw the financing of acquisitions and recapitalizations, managed the real estate family office fund, as well as the acquisition, construction, and disposition of more than 30,000 apartments units. Previously, Mr. Swill held senior positions at Merrill Lynch, CIBC, Deutsche Banc, and Citicorp/Citibank. Mr. Swill is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY); the National Association of Industrial Office Properties (NAIOP); and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); and is an Executive Board member on the National Multi-housing Council (NMHC). He frequently lectured at NYU School of Real Estate and sits as a panelist at industry conferences.  Mr. Swill holds Series 7 & 63 licenses. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in finance and business administration from Muhlenberg College.
